sea_ice Section¶

This section configures sea ice dynamics, including friction, elasticity, and concentration thresholds.

Parameter	Description
`ice_flag`	Flag to enable/disable sea ice (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`ice_dynamic_flag`	Flag to enable/disable dynamic sea ice (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`ice_cover_file`	File for ice cover.
`ice_elasticity_file`	File for ice elasticity.
`TimeStep`	Time step for sea ice (default: `60 s`).
`MomentumSolver`	Momentum solver for sea ice (`0`, `1`, `2`, `3`).
`Rheology`	Rheology model for sea ice (`0`, `1`).
`ice_friction_flag`	Flag to enable/disable ice friction (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`ice_polygons_file`	File for ice polygons (free format).
`ice_polygons_data`	File for ice polygons data.
`ice_shelves_raster`	Raster file for ice shelves cover.
`ice_concentration`	File for ice concentration.
`ice_concentration_threshold`	Threshold for ice concentration (default: `0.5`, dimensionless).
`ice_confinement_modulation`	Modulation for ice confinement.
`ice_friction_type`	Type of ice friction (`LINEAR`, `QUADRATIC_CD`, `QUADRATIC_Z0`, `MULTIPLICATOR`).
`ice_shelves_friction_type`	Type of ice shelves friction (`QUADRATIC_CD`, `QUADRATIC_Z0`, `MULTIPLICATOR`).
`sea_ice_friction_type`	Type of sea ice friction (`LINEAR`, `QUADRATIC_CD`, `QUADRATIC_Z0`).
`ice_shelves_multiplicator`	Friction factor applied below ice shelves (default: `2.0`, dimensionless).
`ice_linear_friction_coefficient`	Linear ice friction coefficient (default: `2.5e-3`, dimensionless).
`ice_quadratic_friction_coefficient`	Quadratic ice friction coefficient (default: `2.5e-3`, dimensionless).
`ice_karman_rugosity`	Karman rugosity for ice (default: `1.0e-4`, dimensionless).
`ice_friction_smoother`	Smoother for ice friction (`LEGACY`, `QUICK`).
`ice_smoother_niterations`	Number of iterations for ice smoother (default: `50`).
