atmosphere Section¶

This section configures atmospheric forcing settings, including wind, pressure, temperature, and radiation parameters.

Parameter	Description
`atmosphere_flag`	Flag to enable/disable atmospheric forcing (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`pressure_flag`	Flag to enable/disable atmospheric pressure forcing (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`pressure_directory`	Directory for atmospheric pressure input files (default: `AUTO`).
`pressure_convention`	Filename formatting convention for pressure forcing (default: `AUTO`).
`pressure_variable`	Variable name for atmospheric pressure (default: `MSL`).
`pressure_equivalent_water_density`	Equivalent water density for pressure conversion (default: `1019.368`).
`IB_equivalent_water_density`	Equivalent water density for inverse barometer (default: `1019.368`).
`wind_flag`	Flag to enable/disable wind forcing (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`uwind_variable`	Variable name for eastward wind (default: `U10M`).
`vwind_variable`	Variable name for northward wind (default: `V10M`).
`temperature_flag`	Flag to enable/disable temperature forcing (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`surface_air_temperature`	Variable name for surface air temperature (default: `T2m`).
`surface_water_temperature`	Variable name for surface water temperature (default: `SST`).
`long_wave_radiation`	Flag to enable/disable long-wave radiation (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`short_wave_radiation`	Flag to enable/disable short-wave radiation (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`atmospheric_directory`	Directory for atmospheric forcing files.
`file_format`	Format of atmospheric forcing files (`NETCDF`, `GRIB`, `CLX`, `ACADEMIC`, `HARMONIC`).
`file_endian`	Endianness of atmospheric forcing files (`UNIX`, `LINUX`).
`file_convention`	Filename construction rules for atmospheric forcing files.
`MaskFile`	File for land/sea mask (`FILE`, `NONE`, `AUTO`).
`mask_variable`	Variable name for land/sea mask.
`apply_landsea_mask`	Flag to apply land/sea mask on meteorological fields (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`keep_mean_pressure`	Flag to keep mean pressure (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`keep_mean_wind`	Flag to keep mean wind (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`time_interpolation`	Time interpolation method (`LINEAR`, `QUADRATIC`).
`bulk_formula`	Bulk formula for wind stress (`CLASSIC`, `BULK`, `BULK-REDUCED`, `FRICTION-VELOCITY`, `WIND-STRESS`, `METEO-BULK-CHARNOK`).
`wind_stress`	Wind stress mode (`BULK`, `MODEL`).
`inversebarometer`	Flag to use inverse barometer in open boundary conditions (`TRUE`, `FALSE`).
`verbose_level`	Verbosity level for atmospheric forcing (`NONE`, `MINIMAL`, `DEBUG`).
